Benedict sat, alone, in one of the Garden’s three libraries, and tried not to think about Kestrel. It had been too long since he’d last seen her, but he’d always thought the next time would be when he was back at the Hollow, having completed the job he had been sent to do by Falcon. Of course things hadn’t worked out the way Benedict hoped they would, which meant he would have to do his best to keep out of Kess’ sight as well as hope that being noticed by Heliopath didn’t affect the preparations that had been made for the future. Sighing, Benedict rested his head on his hand, knowing that the best way to take his mind off his problems would be to start looking into the subject Heliopath had become fascinated by thanks to the unexpected arrival of a female mage, but he couldn’t concentrate on anything else.

Heliopath’s World: Heliopath (part 2)
Mar. 15th, 2012 08:55 amHeliopath watched Kestrel breathe. Occasionally someone was allergic to sleep spells and that could cause major problems. It didn’t seem like she was, but that didn’t stop him from worrying. Sleep spells in general were difficult to get right. People would either make them too weak, so the target wouldn’t sleep for long enough, or they would make them too strong, which would lead the target to sleep for a lot longer than they should. Most people bought them, even if they were in a position to make them, and there were a lot of mages who never got to the position where they could use sleep spells. Purple level was the hardest to get past because of the hallucinations that came with the normal withdrawal symptoms.

Heliopath’s World: Heliopath

It had been a long fight to the top for Heliopath and once he was there he didn’t stop fighting. He wasn’t fighting simply for the sake of fighting, although it had become something he was too used to for his own good, but because he had a vision. The town shouldn’t be fractured the way it was. There was no need for the different groups of mages all fighting each other for a reason they couldn’t even remember any more. Sighing he looked at the map. Getting everyone together was a lot harder than he’d expected it to be.
