I've seen posts before where there have been statistics for AO3 stories. As an original fiction writer I'm not on AO3, but I do have a system set up using reaction buttons so I can find out what my most favourited posts are, my most liked posts, and the posts my readers most want me to write more for (any click on my write more button equals 500 more words for that story).

As the buttons are entirely anonymous I'm not certain exactly how my readers use them and it seems likely that everyone uses them a little differently. It's possible some click both the favourite and like button if it's a favourite story while other click favourite for their most favourite and like for their second favourites. The write more button is one I think gets clicked on both favourited and liked stories.

This is a simple system that works for me and does seem to work for my readers. I'd love to see if occasionally posting stats for my writing on my personal journals help in any way, because I'd really appreciate some more readers and maybe some more commenters.
