After a couple of days off the diclofenac at the end of last week it does seem like that is what’s working for James. We have another 28 days of them and another month of antibiotics, but I really don’t think the antibiotics are doing that much good – to be honest I think they’re what’s making him feel ill most of the time, which is making cooking and eating difficult, although I have done something to make that much easier than it was. So we’re really truly looking at him being able to go back to work at the beginning of September. I’m not getting too excited though, as there’s always a chance he might not feel up to it, but I know he wants to get back to normal as much as I do, if not more. Getting his bank statement was the worst part as his income is currently a third of his outgoings.
Fortunately things appear to be looking up for me as well. When James and I first found the room that we’re renting now we never thought for a moment that it would all work out as well as it has, but it’s been wonderful, and as Teresa has started doing doggy day care (around the other work she does) we’ve been having a lot of lovely dogs come to visit. As there are days when she’s busier than others I’ve found myself lucky enough to spend time looking after them and, even though I wasn’t expecting it, I’m getting a little income from it too. That means I’ll hopefully be able to earn the grocery money through looking after the dogs and maybe a little to put towards the rent, which will mean there’s less pressure on me to make the writing profitable right now. However I am still working towards that and I’ve made a start on getting the ebooks ready for sale, in the hope that at least a couple of them will be on sale around the end of August, as well as the introductory ebooks that I want to have completed by the end of September. I’m just not certain what I’m going to put in them, so any ideas would be gratefully received. The covers, currently, are something I put together just so that they’d have covers.
Plus I’m still working on making the website easier to get around. If anyone would like to help with that free words are on offer, but I’m hoping that once James is back at work I’ll be able to plan on my time better, which will also mean that I’ll be able to continue with my holistic therapy studies as well as write and work on the website.

Thoughts
Date: 2013-08-20 12:25 am (UTC)Well, you posted that big batch of stories about Mothar. Some of those might be good for this project; then you could have an intro ebook for Quiar or World Walkers. That and Donor House have the most written, I think, so they're good ones to promote.

For my poetry books, we used public domain photos and found really nice ones.
