Update: 22nd July

We’re having a heatwave in the UK. I don’t work well in the heat and it’s been making me feel very drained. Thankfully I’m sleeping okay, so I am at least building up the energy I need every night, but not enough to be able to combat the almost permanent sleepiness I’m dealing with. Unfortunately the lack of energy means my writing is suffering and there’s not a lot I can do about the heat. I’ve always been affected by changes in temperature, but I much prefer being cold to being hot. At least if you’re cold you can put on more layers – when you aren’t wearing anything while laying in a breeze and you’re still hot you know you’re fighting a losing battle.

I’ve read a few books recently that have got me very interested in Eastern religions and deities. If you have any suggestions for Eastern deities I could write about I’d appreciate the input. Right now I’m reading a book on Tao, a book on shamanism, and testing out the I-Ching. It’s good to be going back to my paganism studies, because I’ve been what I define as a studying pagan ever since I became a teenager, but I’ve never been in a position where I could be a practicing pagan, the way I always wanted to be. Now I’m somewhere I think I can make it work it’s something I really want to do. Of course right now, with James still home all the time, planning anything doesn’t really work, so I’m hoping things will be sorted out soon. (Although I’m not sure it will, because the antibiotics don’t seem to be working as well as we hoped they would.)

One of my plans is to work on making several of my worlds shared worlds, starting probably with the Donor House, because I’d love to have some more fiction from different parts of the world. I feel most comfortable, when I’m writing stories on Earth, setting them in places I know, so having other people involved would be wonderful, so they can write about the places they know. That will be done once I have my introductory ebooks done.

I’m also looking for some help with races for the worlds of the Web, so if you’d like to be involved with that let me know. Normally you’d earn credits for help with worldbuilding, but if you aren’t interested in collecting credits we can work something else out.
