The Advent Story Poll is Closed!
Nov. 29th, 2012 12:28 pmI’m very thankful to see that a collection won the poll, so this year’s Advent Story will be set in the Fae World Collection. Now I just need to work out what I’m going to write.
Thank you to everyone who voted in this or any of the other polls. The general fund Collection poll is still running and will be until the middle of December, so get your votes in for what stories you want to see posted. It will be followed by one final poll: the Story poll. Once that’s done I’ll be posting the stories and as a gift to everyone who has voted I’ll be writing a voters story, which will be posted publicly. Every vote is worth 500 words, so I think I’m currently at about 10,000 words that will be written for this story. I’m not certain what it’s going to be yet, but I’ll figure something out.
It was interesting to see where the votes went for the Advent Story poll, so I have plans to write more fiction for all of the collections that were voted for, because it seems like they are the ones that people want to see more of. Remember if you want to tell me what stories you’d like to see then I have a permanent prompts page and the Never-Ending prompts session is, obviously, still running.

Thoughts
Date: 2012-11-29 11:22 pm (UTC)Maybe look at how the Fae adapted to their new home? Willow's people must have had a hard time their first winter.

Yay! That's a good idea.

Also very clever. I've built up a pretty clear idea of which are my most popular series over time, based on audience requests and other activity.
Sometimes a new one catches on really fast, too. Fledgling Grace has been growing rapidly from comments that inspire poems.
