Update: 14th May

James got signed off for two weeks today. The ultrasound he had showed nothing, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. It’s a good thing, because it means that he won’t need any surgery, one of our greatest worries. It’s a bad thing, because it means we still don’t know what the problem is. That’s the most annoying thing. He’s been given a different type of antibiotic, told to take his painkillers (even though they don’t work), and had some blood tests today, so we may have some answers by Friday. He may even have started healing by then, but the last batch of antibiotics didn’t work so I’m not getting too hopeful.

If anyone can give anything to help towards the groceries for this month I would really appreciate it or signal boost if you can’t. At the moment I’m still planning for the worst, especially as James will be using up his one week of sick leave pay from his work. He was getting a little better, but today he’s been in a lot of pain, and I just wish I could do more to help. I’ve been trying to make sure he stays as still as possible most of the time, even though I know he’s even in pain when he’s sitting down. It makes me feel useless and I know he feels the same way.
