I'm familiar with dream magic, writing magic, and time magic; I'd be happy helping to develop any of those. Or I could stretch for something else familiar and tackle mechanical magic.

Any of those would be great. I'm playing around with some of them, but I'd also love to hear your take on any/all of them. Of course you'll get credits for whatever you do.

I've written up some notes for several families and emailed them to you.

Interesting. Some seem quite specific (door magic, for example) but maybe you mean something more wide (like portal, through-way or travel magic)? Also, what is this colour that I have not heard of until now called "Mab" (and spell-check has no idea of that word)? What does it look like?

Door magic is quite specific, because this was just a beginning for the magics that each of the thirteen families have. As I do more work on it they'll probably become a little different, but that family pretty much only creates doorways between one world and another, which is my fae's way of travelling between worlds. It's because that's what they're needed for. Also these are just their specialities, so some can use other magics as well as door magic.

Mab is the Queen of this collection of fae, so I went for her name as the working family name instead of a colour. All the family names will be changed at some point.

Hmm...

There actually is a list of Celtic colors with some very odd ones, like terrible-colored and yellow-grey. I think it would be awesome to use one of those for Mab's family.

Maybe each family has an associated color, a magic, a patron deity or other mythic figure, etc. so there could be a table of correspondences. When you have different things they bounce off each other and inspire more ideas.
