One of the least favourite of my collections, sadly, even though I love the idea behind it. That might be because I haven't done as much work with this as I have with the others, so it's harder to understand, but the lack of work is, in part, caused by lack of interest. When I started the others I knew as little about them as I did with this. It wasn't until I started writing more about them that I learnt more, so I need to do the same thing with the Inquisition. Unfortunately as there is very little interest it does feel like I'm wasting my time when I'm working on it. My plan was to work on it in February, while I was working on Kim's Earth, and that didn't happen, as I know I have at least a couple of people who are at least vaguely interested in Kim's Earth but this one seems abandoned.

The idea behind it was, obviously, the Inquisition, although this one is different to the previous one. It's isn't something that has continued from the religious Inquisition, which is something I recently worked out - it's anti-religious. At the moment my focus is on the pagans, as that is my own religion, and it would affect me personally if I found that I couldn't follow the religion I'd chosen. However, now that I know that the Inquisition is against all religions I can also write from a Christian perspective or any other, but my issue with that is lack of understanding of those religions. This is one of the reasons I like fanfiction so much. Once I have some more information written down about the Inquisition and how it works I would love for people to write stories in this collection themselves, from other religious view points, as I think it is important to do that.

I started this collection by writing about the arrest of a family suspected of practicing witchcraft. At the time I did assume that the Inquisition was just against witches, so there is some wording I might change in that and the other stories that I've started, especially when it comes to the wording the officer uses when he arrests the character I was focusing on. Something I do know is that the UK is split in a way that it isn't now, so travelling across county borders is much more difficult, and travelling to Scotland or Wales is almost impossible. Very few people can get to the airports, so they pretty much only exist for the Inquisition, although they don't often feel the need to travel. This means that the leader of the Inquisition in each county is likely to view one religion as the worst of the lot and I know that in that characters county the leader of the Inquisition chose to marry a woman he was very sure might be pagan. I have a feeling, even though I don't have any evidence yet, that the marriage went wrong, although he did get three children out of it, and that made him believe that paganism was the most dangerous of all the religions.

Writing about this collection has made me more interested in writing for it, so please let me know if you would like to see more. If I don't feel like I'm wasting my time I'm going to feel more comfortable working on new stories.
