I suggest experimenting with different coping mechanisms for that. One writer friend's method involves keeping all the materials for a book in a binder, which is easy to grab and work on anywhere. When I was in college, I used to scribble notes and scene sketches in the backs of my notebooks between classes and in the classes where I already knew the material.
