From now until midnight on Tuesday I’m open for prompts. This session is themeless, because I’d like to change things a little, and to do this I’d like prompts on characters you’d like to see a different gender and/or characters you’d like to see interacting, which can be characters from different collections. As always I’m open to random number prompts (see the random number session for ways of using the numbers and an example for this session:  Aurora’s World gender change 12.)

For every prompt I receive I’ll write and post 500 words. If you signal boost this prompt call on any platform (LJ, DW, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) then I’ll double the word count for one prompt per platform (eg. leave me four prompts and boost on four platforms to get 1,000 words for every prompt you’ve left; leave me six prompts and boost on three platforms to get three stories of 1,000 words and three stories of 500 words – your choice which prompts get the bonus words).

If 5 people prompt me during this session I’ll add 1000 words to the prompter’s story. For every prompter following the fifth I’ll add another 500 words to the story.

More words can be purchased using either money or credits: £1.50 for 500 posted words or 3 credits for 1000 words sent as a PDF, up to a limit of 6,000 words (£18.00 or 18 credits) per prompt.

This month all donations are going into the ‘just-in-case’ fund, due to some unexpected medical issues that are in the process of being diagnosed (James’, not mine).

If I receive £10 I’ll post one piece of bonus material for one of my worlds.
If I receive £20 I’ll write 1000 words for half the prompts.
If I receive £30 I’ll post one piece of bonus material for two of my worlds.
If I receive £40 I’ll write 1000 words for every prompt.
If I receive £50 I’ll write one piece of bonus material for four of my worlds.
If I receive £60 I’ll write 2000 words for half the prompts.
If I receive £70 I’ll write one piece of bonus material for eight of my worlds.
If I receive £80 I’ll write 2000 words for every prompt.

If I receive £100 I’ll use my web cam as a web cam for the first time and post a video of myself reading one of my stories.

If I receive £120 I’ll post 10,000 words in April.

If I receive £140 I’ll post another video – donors choice. This can be another reading, an interview with me, or anything you chose.

If I receive £160 I’ll write 4000 words for every prompt.

Kiara, for the World Walkers collection. She’s a member of a race who invite bodiless souls to share their body who chose not to house anyone else, but ended up getting caught up in the magic and gaining another soul.

Rosalind, for the Fae World collection. Wanting by her cousin for her magical abilities she is bound in a spell and is ‘lucky’ to have someone who can free her come after her.

Jetta, Specter, and Luther, for the World Walkers collection. Jetta is in trouble, her old friend Luther has come after her because he’s been possessed, but she can’t bring herself to hurt him. Specter solves the problem by bashing Luther over the head with a bottle of cough medicine.

Juliet, for the Pagan collection. A member of Charlotte’s circle who goes to check on her after the accident and finds that the girl she knew has been replaced with Anna.

Thanks to feedback from my last update next month has become ‘finish something’ month, so what story arc would you most like to see completed? Please note there is a difference between minor story arcs and major story arcs, so I could easily finish Electra and Alexis’ meeting, but there’s going to be more of both the character’s stories.

“Are you sure?” Gary asked, rubbing his eyebrow with a finger. It’s what he does when he’s worried. “You want me to protect Craig from anyone who’s searching for him?”

Nodding, I looked over at the screen again, wondering what it was Craig did to have the police hunting for him, but I know I’ll never ask. He came to me for help and that’s exactly what I’m going to give him, even though I know I probably shouldn’t. We were friends for too long for me to say no when he turned up on my doorstep, a mix of sweat and tears trickling down his face, looking around to make certain that he hadn’t been followed. Until I managed to convince Gary to use his magic to protect Craig he would be safe enough behind my wards.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea.” Gary was staring at the screen too when I looked back at him. “We don’t know what it was he did.”

“It doesn’t matter.”

“He’s using you.”

“That doesn’t matter either.”

“It matters to me, Penny.”

“Gary…”

“Maybe you don’t want to listen to me, but if you want me to help him as much as you say you will.” Biting hard on my lip I nodded again and Gary continued. “ I don’t want to do it. I don’t want to help Craig when I don’t know what it is he did, because there’s probably a good reason he’s wanted by the police. Unfortunately he’s dragged you into the whole thing now, just by turning up on your doorstep the way he did, so my only real option is to help him because I’m helping you at the same time.”

For the first time I felt bad for dragging Gary into my problems, but he was stronger than me magically and could do spells that were beyond my capabilities. “You know I couldn’t have turned him away.”

“You should have.” Gary shook his head. “The search for him has been on the news for three days now and for all we know he might have murdered someone.”

“Maybe he has.” I sighed. “I just promised him a long time ago that if he ever needed anything I’d be there, no matter what it was he did. That was probably a mistake, but I made it so I’m going to keep it.”

“What happens after I protect him?”

“Craig’s going to leave.” Shrugging, I tried to seem as though I wasn’t bothered by that. “It was the only way I could convince him to let me ask you for help.”

“Penny…” Gary rubbed his eyebrow again. “Please, promise me that you won’t go with him.”

Sometimes I wished that Gary didn’t know me as well as he did. “I promise you I won’t go with him.” Making that promise hurt more than the thought of him leaving, but it was one I had to make. “My entire life is here and I’m not going to throw it all away for him.”
