I went through the write mores and found that I have fourteen on the posted parts of the Case of the Counterfeit Enchantments, which is interesting. As I’m planning on posting the whole of the planned storyline I need to work out what to do with them. They could be used to write stories around the storyline; they could be used after I’ve completed the whole storyline to continue what happens after; or there may be other options that I haven’t thought of. Any input?

If anyone wants to see any specific write mores done sooner than others the best way to get me to do that is to donate. On the paypal notes put ‘Write More: story of choice’. Money donated this way will be added to the general fund and used to sponsor other stories too. All normal perks are available, from personal perks to site perks.

January Raffle Winner: MJ (DW user forgottenspirits), who wins 10500 words.

Last month’s raffle went as well as I could expect considering it was the first one. I’m happy with the number of words, but as I get more entrants I may decrease the number of extra words per entry. This month I’d love to reach five entrants – I had three in January. Thank you all.

Enter this raffle in one of three ways: comment on any piece of fiction; link to a story; or use credits – 2 credits = 1 entry. There no limit on the number of times any one person can enter, so feel free to enter as many times as you like.

The base prize is 5000 words. For every comment I’ll add 100 words; for every link I’ll add 250 words; and for every entry purchased with credits I’ll add 500 words. If I have five entrants I’ll add a second prize; if I have ten entrants I’ll add a third prize; and if I have twenty entrants I’ll draw another three winners who receive a free character adoption or setting rental.

I’ll run the raffle for a week from today, so it will end on the 22nd.

The ever wonderful Lyn Thorn-Alder (better known as Aldersprig on both DW and LJ) is having a giraffe call, with the theme of love. I have left prompts, because I love her work, and now I urge everyone else to do the same. She writes in an interesting mix of settings (and I write fanfic for one of them: Addergoole) including Tir na Cali and the Stranded World, while my personal favourites are Dragons Next Door and the Aunt Family.
