November is…

…the Fae World collection month. This is the post to use if you want to prompt for any stories, tell me what bonus material you’d like to see, or anything else you’d like.

This month I want to attempt to post once a day. I may also be posting World Walkers stories, which could easily be included in this collection, Donor House stories, which couldn’t, and possibly some ‘Astral’ World stories, because the doors that originally led to the world known as the ‘astral’ were created by the fae (who created doors everywhere).

October Round-Up

October didn’t go as well as September did. I was planning on posting a lot more bonus material for the Donor House collection, as well as more stories, but it was a difficult month. My partner’s shifts have been all over the place, because they have a new computer system, and my autumn/winter insomnia has returned. I’m hoping that November is going to be better, especially as I’m really looking forward to writing more stories for the Fae World, although I have an interesting shift pattern to look forward to.

The prompts session is still ongoing, until tomorrow at midnight. I love having prompts sessions, but I never have many visitors, no matter where I advertise my sessions. I’m not sure what I should do about it. Part of me wants to give up, because it seems like a waste of time, but at the same time I want to continue, because of my love of getting interesting prompts. It’s something I’m going to need to think about, but I will still be having at least one more prompts session before the end of 2012.

Plans for November: posting once a day for the Fae World month; completing NaNoWriMo; posting more Donor House stories; posting more World Walkers stories; and work on outstanding stories.

Goals for November: write at least 50,000 words and hopefull earn at least £30 in donations.

1. Stories in the Fae World collection

The first stories in this collection were set in one of the Fae schools set up on Earth after the fae following Princess Willow (who became Queen on Earth). It was the only school that allowed human/fae children to enter and because of this it became known as THE Fae school, even though there is more than one. Later stories followed Willow and the man who becomes her consort, Alder, both before they leave behind their old world and on Earth. Some of the shifters and the mer people also followed Willow and I plan on writing stories about both these races.

I’ve also written stories about the dragons, a race created by the Yellow family, who travelled to Arkal instead of Earth; Lena’s World, Benira, and the world connected to it, Benira (which is much like Earth); Aidalis, the world the Griffins travel to; and the ‘astral’ world, Kalinia, which is a seperate collection, but may later become a part of this collection.

2013

As it’s November, already, and I don’t believe that the world is going to end, it’s time to make plans for 2013. None of them are going to be set in stone, because I don’t know exactly what will be happening, but I’d like to have some ideas for what you’ve liked and haven’t liked.

Personally I’ve enjoyed the monthly focus, but I don’t know if I want to continue focusing on specific collections or to do something like I’m experimenting with in December and do a story focus or a bonus material focus. That’s something I’d like input on.

I’d like to see if anyone has ideas as to how I can get more people involved in naming characters, creating worlds, and prompting, because I started crowdfunding in order for that to be easy, but very few people seem interested. It makes me a little sad, because I though people would love being able to get more involved.

Money is also something I’d really like to see more of. That’s part of the reason I posted the commissions page, that I hope will get a lot of use, and why I’d love to see more people adopting characters or renting settings. I just don’t know how to get these things to happen. If anyone has any input, do I need to make things easier to find or something, then let me know.
