Tuesday… Another Update

Today I’ve been working on the donor filter. It’s been interesting, because it’s helped me to see how much I’ve published publicly in some of the collections compared to what I’ve actually been writing, how many stories I’m in the process of writing, and where I need to go from here. Almost all the collections are done, although I haven’t updated all the landing pages and I plan on creating a separate list of all the stories on the filter (which is basically the sponsorable stories list with links, so the stories are easy to get to), apart from the ones I know are going to take hours. Once that’s all done I’ll update the sponsorable story list to show the prices for all the stories.

I do have more plans for the donor filter. I’m hoping to have some filter only prompt sessions, maybe some more random number only sessions because they’re fun for me, and if I get to the point where I have ten people on the filter at the same time I’ll post 10,000 words publicly. This will happen for every ten people, so fifty people will mean that I’ll post 50,000 words in the month following. Once I get to working on them I’ll also be posting up everything I was going to write from the auction. I may post the rentals and adoptions one story a month for each one I was going to sell, so it works like a true rental or adoption. I’ll see how things go.

Tomorrow is going to be a writing day. Hopefully. Some days I plan on having writing days and then end up doing something else. Like today. I wasn’t planning on spending the whole day, barring breaks, working on the donor filter, but I woke up feeling like today wasn’t going to be a good day for writing. So I did something else with my time. I’m glad I did, because it is the beginning of a big job done, and I could easily have put it off, which is something I’m good at.

I’m also after some ideas from people. Siaral, as I mentioned before, is the Breeders world, where mythical creatures are breed. I know for certain I’m going to have dragons, unicorns, pegasi, phoenixes, and elemental birds, but it would be great to have some input as to what sort of breeds they should be (eg. unicorns are normally horses, and there will be some of them, but what other animals might be interesting), and whether I should include anything else.
