Rose and Bay Awards

The Rose and Bay Awards were set up by [livejournal.com profile] ysabetwordsmith as a way to reward, and promote, crowdfunded projects. This year I have been nominated in the fiction category, which is just amazing. [livejournal.com profile] ysabetwordsmith, who is my number 1 patron, put my name down (thank you), and I am up against some of my favourite authors, so I have absolutely no chance of winning. :) I'm just amazed that someone likes my work enough to nominate me.

If you like my work then it would be great if you'd vote for me. I'd also suggest you visit several of my competitors - the ever wonderful [livejournal.com profile] aldersprig, whose world I am currently playing in; [personal profile] clare_dragonfly; [livejournal.com profile] haikujaguar (who is also nominated in several other categories - personally I love her blog and I have several of her stories on my Kindle); and [livejournal.com profile] skjam.

One of my personal favourites in the art category is [personal profile] meeks, who did me a wonderful drawing as a part of her story sketches project. All of her art is amazing, and she regularly takes part in Sketch Fest, which is well worth a visit.

Sketch Fest was created by [livejournal.com profile] ellenmillion, one of the busiest people on the Internet, who also is the creator of Torn World and several other amazing things. I'd also suggest you check out as many of them as you can.

Then, even though she's not eligble this year, another person well worth a visit is [livejournal.com profile] ysabetwordsmith.

*hugs* Part of the point to this award is that it encourages folks to explore new projects, especially during the voting period. I'm hopeful that this may hook you a few new readers. For me, it's a reminder to go out and check some of the webcomics -- when "The Less Than Epic Adventures of T.J. and Amal" was nominated, I thought "Oh hey, I remember that from last year, that was cool."

Well, the Poetry Fishbowl isn't eligible this year, but I am up for the Patron category, and I'm a contributor to Torn World which is nominated in the Poetry category.
