Older Work

Over on DeviantArt I posted some of my poetry and stories from nearly six years ago (most of this I wrote when I first got together with my partner, James, and our 6th anniversary is next February - which seems like a very long time ago now). Crowdfunding Creative Jam story: Afterlife Collection: Without Connection

Written for [livejournal.com profile] ysabetwordsmith's title prompt 'Without Connection'.

The day that Charis moved on to her new life was the day that Richard found himself with no connections in the afterlife. For the first time since Charis had walked into his death and started teaching him to be Death he didn't have anyone. It was something he'd known was going to happen but that didn't change the loss he felt at suddenly not having anyone. Crowdfunding Creative Jam story: Faerie School Colection: a door that's always ajar

Written for [livejournal.com profile] siege's prompt 'a door that's always ajar'.

It was stupid. Even after a hundred years on Earth Willow still kept the door ajar. She couldn't bring herself to close it entirely because she still thought of the world they left behind as her home. Earth was a beautiful planet in its own way and she did love it, but it didn't feel the same. When she looked through she hoped that maybe it would have gone back to the way it was before they had destroyed it. A tear trickled down her cheek as she thought of the mistakes they had made and why it was so important that they never made them again.
