Interesting Things

I found this when going through my old Evernote account.

The Dorma are a practical race, preferring to work with their hands than with their minds. This doesn't mean that they are stupid, far from it, but once most Dorma children leave school at the age of sixteen they usually turn their back on anything academic. The few exceptions to this rules are those that start their secondary schooling at one of the temples and later go on to be priests. Bree, being a translator, takes after the Tein-Igni in her bloodline much more than she realises.

The Tein-Igni are the explorers and academics of the country. Before the Dorma Supremacy movement started there were a lot of the Tein-Igni out exploring, and it's thanks to them that there are any maps of the country, but it is safer for them to stay closer to home thanks to recent developments. It is the Tein-Igni that the older Dorma blame for the increase in mixed bloods, because if it wasn't for their travelling ways then most people would stay close to home.
