What is the surrounding cultural attitude towards Pagans here? Hostile, neutral, tolerant? Is there a wider Pagan community, and if so, was Charlotte involved in it?
What is the level of magic/mysticism? I'm going to guess that it's subtle, rather than overt like some of your high-fantasy settings. But I'd like to know more about the connection between humans and magic, humans and divine, in this setting.
I think Anna and Vitali are my favorite characters, but I also like Lloyd. I would enjoy exploring more about why Lloyd and Charlotte didn't get along very well, but he and Anna apparently do. I think it has to do as much with her personality shift as with his flexibility.
I'd also like to find out how Vitali got into Paganism.
